Austin Exile
I'm currently sitting in my hotel in Austin, TX, coughing like a dog and editing together bits of White Laces material that are going to be spread among a few different releases once I (reluctantly) return to Virginia. This includes the first single, which we finished mixing the night before I left.
Since I've been gone, Harding Street Assembly Lab have released HSAL #08 which features a bedroom version of Psychic Healing. Other than that we're working out more shows and release dates within the next week which should be announced as soon as things sort out.
Below you'll find a jam that I worked up this morning in bed. All the parts are taken from the final track on the demo.

Hawaiian Alcatraz
Thanks again to Eternal Summers and Wild Nothing and everyone who came and filled the basement of Unicorn Manor this past weekend. We really appreciated all of the references to being on/in/outside of a jet during the set.
Right now we're on day two of recording the first single at Sound of Music and sorting through rehearsal bits and ambient pieces for our first cassette/digital release. Thanks to Travis for the photo, which I'm pretty sure depicts the noise jam at the end of Psychic Healing.
As always, more things coming soon.

Twin Hotels
Thanks to everyone who made it out to the Bazaar this weekend. Winter's End (Eternal Summers in disguise) were awesome and nothing makes me happier than a Galaxie 500 cover. Roanoke is full of great people and also facilitates a mean hotel party.
We'll be playing this Saturday night in Richmond at the Unicorn Manor with Eternal Summers and Wild Nothing, which should be an awesome show/party/whatever happens after the amps are off. Also, we'll have t-shirts for sale at the show (and they're available at Bazaar now as well), the design of which is featured above in all its duo-chromatic glory thanks to Matt Reed. Not sure if we'll have any left after this weekend, but we'll be printing more in the near future.
So within the next eight days we will have played a show, recorded our first tape/digital release, and knocked out our first 7". Can't stop won't stop.

Winter Quarantine
It gives me great pleasure to remind everyone that White Laces will be playing in Roanoke next Saturday night with the fan-fucking-tastic Eternal Summers. I'm also very happy to announce that a version of "Psychic Healing" will be appearing on a compilation from our friends at Harding Street Assembly Lab. There are a swarm of other releases planned that will be announced within the next week or so along with scattered shows to be played before we head up to Massachusetts to record with Kevin Micka of Animal Hospital (whose Memory LP is out now on Barge Records).
Here's to activity.

New Kicks
The first full-band White Laces show will be happening on February 20th in Roanoke, VA at Bazaar Consignments. We were hoping to be ready for the Beach Fossils/Hot Lava show this week but we're still scaling some walls in rehearsal. Expect a slew of show announcements in the next few weeks.
I've re-upped the demos to Mediafire, so the link is HERE for all that were asking.

Brick Cage
Thanks to Style Weekly for posting this mention of White Laces. As of right now we're cramming ourselves in the garage and working out the arrangements to the songs on the demo (which I'll fix the link to shortly) for shows/recording in the new year.
Thanks to Pushy Lips for being so hospitable during my reverb-drenched takes on the songs a few weeks ago.
